Smooth Skin, Lasting Results—Laser Hair Reduction That Works
Our advanced Fotona Laser Hair Reduction Protocol uses safe, powerful Nd:YAG technology to reduce unwanted hair with precision—no downtime, no harsh chemicals, and visible results in weeks.
What Is Laser Hair Reduction?
Laser hair removal—more accurately called laser hair reduction—is a non-invasive treatment that uses targeted light energy to heat and destroy hair follicles without damaging surrounding skin.
Using the Fotona Nd:YAG long-pulse laser, this protocol provides safe, effective hair reduction for all skin types, including deeper skin tones, and is ideal for both men and women.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
Face:
- Upper lip
- Chin
- Cheeks
- Sideburns
- Unibrow
Body:
- Underarms
- Arms
- Bikini/Brazilian
- Back & shoulders
- Chest & abdomen
- Hands, feet, and toes
Hair & Skin Types Treated
- Dark, coarse hair = best response
- Medium-dark brown hair = good results
- Light brown or red hair = may respond moderately
- Blonde, grey, or white hair = minimal to no laser response (consult required)
- Fotona’s Nd:YAG technology penetrates deeper and is safe for Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI, unlike many IPL or diode systems

Before Your Appointment: How to Prepare

- No tanning, self-tanner, or sun exposure 2 weeks before
- Come with clean skin—no lotions, deodorant, makeup
- Disclose any photosensitive medications (especially antibiotics, retinoids, or psych medications)
What to Expect During Treatment
Treatment Time 10–60 minutes depending on area
Sensation Warm pulses, like a rubber band snap—well tolerated
Cooling Fan Optional; Fotona uses pulse control for comfort
Downtime None; slight redness, swelling, or sensitivity may last a few hours
Post-Care No hot showers, workouts, or sun for 24–48 hrs; apply SPF if exposed area is treated
How Often Are Sessions Needed?
Laser only treats active growing hair (anagen phase)—not all hair is growing at once.
Recommended Schedule:
Every 4–6 weeks for the face
Every 6–8 weeks for the body
Initial Series:
6–8 sessions recommended for significant hair reduction
Maintenance:
1–2 touch-ups per year depending on hormones, area, and skin/hair type
Some clients (e.g., PCOS, hormonal imbalance) may need more sessions or long-term maintenance.
